Between a Rock and a Hard Place: Interpolating between MPC and FHE
نویسندگان
چکیده
We present a computationally secure MPC protocol for threshold adversaries which is parametrized by a value L. When L = 2 we obtain a classical form of MPC protocol in which interaction is required for multiplications, as L increases interaction is reduced in that one requires interaction only after computing a higher degree function. When L approaches infinity one obtains the FHE based protocol of Gentry, which requires no interaction. Thus one can trade communication for computation in a simple way. Our protocol is based on an interactive protocol for “bootstrapping” a somewhat homomorphic encryption scheme. The key contribution is that our presented protocol is highly communication efficient enabling us to obtain reduced communication when compared to traditional MPC protocols for relatively small values of L.

Introducing hard rock TBMs’ downtime analysis model with reference to past case histories’ data
The study of downtime and subsequently machine utilization in a given project is one of the major requirements of an accurate estimation of TBM performance and daily advance rate. Interestingly, while it is very common to report the components of downtime when discussing a tunneling project in the literature; there has not been a great amount of in-depth studies on this topic in the recent year...
متن کاملInvestigating the Relationship between Various Brittleness Indexes with Specific Ampere Draw in Rock Sawing Process
This study aimed to develop new statistical models for evaluating the specific ampere draw (SI) based on rock brittleness index in rock sawing process. A variety of rocks, including carbonate and granite, were cut by a fully instrumented laboratory-sawing rig with two different types of circular diamond saws. Laboratory tests were performed at different depths of cut and feed rates. Multiple cu...
متن کاملENRICHMENT OF A HARD-ROCK GOLD ORE USING FLOTATION AND CYANIDATION
Gold deposits are varied regarding their geological and geochemical settings. Hence, their processing methods must be best organized for achieving the desired recovery of preciousmetals. In this research, two types of hard-rock gold ores, each with specific characteristics fromKouh-zar region (south of Damghan city) were subjected to mineral processing tests at thelaboratory scale. The reference...

متن کاملGeostatistical simulation of RQD variable using investigation of spatial continuity between Quaternary alluvial layer and hard rock of Gohar-Zamin mine to the determination of permeable zones
In this research, a sequential Gaussian simulation method has been used to determine the permeable zones in the hard-rock aquifer of the Gohr-Zamin open pit mine. For this purpose, 4946 RQD data from eighty-seven exploratory boreholes was used and exploratory-spatial data analysis of these data was performed using the preliminary statistics, location maps, histograms and variograms. Results of ...
